B.VOC Dialysis Technology:-
The 3 year graduate provide students with the opportunity to study the principles of Dialysis, basic medical science of the kidney, fluid and electrolyte balance, hematologic aspects, infectious diseases, dialysis system and equipments, vascular access to circulation, blood chemistry, complications of renal failure, psycho- social aspects and overview of potential dialysis and renal transplantation. The primary goal of B.VOC in the Dialysis programme is to prepare accomplished professionals in Dialysis Technology with a specific emphasis on clinical skills, technical knowledge which will enable trainees to function as independent Dialysis professionals. Students acquire the knowledge and procedural skills necessary to deliver a high standard of care to the patient with chronic kidney disease requiring renal replacement therapy. Concepts which will be covered in the course are Advanced Pharmacology, Pathology, Principles of dialysis, Fluid & Electrolyte Balance, Specialized Diagnostic Techniques, infectious disease & complications of renal failure.
